Our Syringe Exchange Program operates five days a week, we offer safer injection supplies, and we work to improve the overall health of people who use drugs. The principles of Harm Reduction Services propose that syringes should be easily available through a needle exchange program, as we know that where syringes are provided in sufficient quantities, rates of HIV are much lower than in places where supply is restricted. Harm Reduction Services provides users with new needles and sterile equipment, and safely dispose of used needles.
If you need supplies, please stop by our counter Monday through Friday between noon – 6 pm. We are here to serve you, and offer the following:
- Safe Sterile Syringes
- Safe Injection Materials
- Authorized Syringe Disposal
- Narcan Distribution
- Medication-Assisted Treatment Referrals
Please note: we have an Outreach Program that serves the community through our mobile unit. For more information, please click the above link. Thanks to Harm Reduction Services efforts, thousands of folks in the Sacramento area are able to reduce their risk of HIV and hepatitis every year.
Friendly Reminder: Please return your used syringes to us, and we will give you double back. Bring us 50, will give you 100. Bring us 100, will give you 200.
